SWIM MEETS

Charlee and Reilly had 2 swim meets this week.
Thursday, June 11, 2009 at the Buckeye Pool and Saturday, June 13 at the YMCA in Goodyear.
They both did an Awesome job. We are keeping track of their time so they can compete against their time.
But I must say they did awesome!!
On Saturday Charlee won 1st place in the butterfly and was faster by 3 seconds and Reilly received 1st place in Backstroke and was faster by 1 second.
Sadly, I had a camera and computer malfunction and lost all my pictures that were being downloaded. LESSON LEARNED, never let it automatically delete.

Scout lake trip - Tuesday, June 9, 2009

Reilly's scout trip to the lake was very fun!!! I went along as an added adult. Reilly and his boys scout brothers used water scopes to view the underwater life and lots of cool rocks through it. Then the boys skipped rocks and had lots of fun playing in the water. It was also a beautiful day, very cool for a June afternoon. We then talked about conservation and picked up trash, great service day. We had a yummy lunch and off we went home. What a great day!!!

New Addition To Our Family!!!

As of a few weeks ago, We added a new addition to our family. And if you know Brenden very well you know What it is. That's Right we go a new motorcycle. (I was told I was remiss when I didn't put it on our blog). He got a 2008, Vulcan 2000, lots more horsepower and it is more comfortable for the backseat rider. He also ordered a new seat with a bright red stripe on it and back rests. Lots of fun to come.

More picture with Brenden on them to come.

Inspiration and Imagination

On Wednesday, May 13 we went to the Phoenix Symphony with a home school group. They do a concert series called Symphony for the schools, this one was 'poetry, paint and dance' children listened to the music and had it inspire their imagination. It was really nice and perfectly timed, only about an hour, so by the time Reilly was saying 'is it almost over' we were on the last song. They played music like 'Ride of the Valkyries',and 'Fight of the Bumblebees' along with several others. You get the idea, most of the songs were very upbeat. Reilly and I really enjoyed it.
Reilly said this favorite part of the Symphony was the one where the students on stage danced 'like vampires', I think the music was 'Dance of the Furies' or 'Danes of Transylvania".
I can't remember which.
I think this was really ironic,
I though this is great, only $3 for the tickets, great deal! Then I had to spend $12 for parking.
.
so sad I forgot to take a camera

Archery Saturday, 9 May, 2009

Reilly went to a free archery class through the Town of Buckeye last Saturday.
It was really HOT, but he had a great time.
He was so excited at the end of class they got to shoot balloons
and he was one of three kids to pop a balloon with his arrow.
The boy's got Talent.
This picture is at the end of class right before he popped the balloon.

This was at the beginning of class, the instructor went around to each student to help with form and stance, ect...

Below is the target with Reilly's arrow in it

FEVER 105 Degrees

Charlee has some weird bug.
On Friday morning she had a fever of 101, then it went away and she felt great the rest of the day. On Saturday she felt tired and had 101 fever again, but by 8:30 her soccer game time, she felt great again. Felt fine all day long, no complaints. Then Saturday night she started to feel yucky and we had her stay at home with Brenden, (No Luau, so sad). She went to bed early and at two in the morning woke up with coughing, and coughing and more coughing. Poor thing. So we wake up every couple of hours because her cough is so bad.
Then about 9 am, she starts to feel dizzy and shaky and telling me she hurts all over. So we take her temp again (we just took it an hour before, only 100) and the thermometer says 105 . I make her sit in the shower as she cry's it's to cold. (not). We are on the phone with the doctor, and he says to take her in if it doesn't come down or call 911 if she starts to have a seizure, OK I am getting nervous now. Well within like 15 minutes it's down to 104 and within 2 hours down to 102(she says she feels better now).
I don't like to take them in to the ER and expose them to lots of other germs when I can handle it. I am really blessed that I know what to do in an emergency.(MA and EMT training) She is on the 2 hour rotation on meds (adult doses - as long as she drinks lots) and we are going to doctor in the morning.
Sorry if we exposed anyone to this!!!
Mom just leave me alone.
Cough, cough, cough, cough, cough, cough, cough. . . . . . . . . . . . .
whatever, no energy

LUAU

Our stake had a really fun Luau last night . The food was yummy, the company was great, and the entertainment was exceptional.
Brenden was all set to go (handsome isn't he), when Charlee started to not feel so good. So Brenden volunteered to stay home as long as I brought him food home.
The Hawaiian Red Neck Cowboy!!!

Reilly playing at the park on the the wiggle worm (???) that's what we call it, with friends and other children from the stake.

Soccer - The last game.

The Rail Hawks - Charlee's team
Coach Haakeem

The Crew - Reilly's Team
Coach Michelle

He always does this

We had a great time at soccer games and they learned so much, and are finally getting good, it almost is a shame that soccer is now over. Almost! Now we have 4 evenings during the week with about 1-2 more hours added to them and a saturday that has at least 3 more hours added to it. They did wonderful!
Charlee's team only lost one game the entire season, and tied one.
Reilly's team improved so much, they won one game and tied one game.
We are very proud of them.
